Julia Alice McRae The eighth child of Daniel McRae and Martha Baldwin Parker
Julia Alice McRae was born on November 17, 1848, in Mangum, Richmond County, North Carolina, her father, Daniel, was 66, and her mother, Martha, was 37. She married William Abner Webster on June 10, 1872, at the home of John McRae in Richmond County. They had five children in 13 years. She died on August 27, 1912, in Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina of chronic diarrhea, at the age of 63 and is buried in Guilford County, North Carolina. Her husband, William Abner Webster was born on June 16, 1848, in Madison, Rockingham County, North Carolina, his father, Benjamin Webster, was 46 and his mother, Nancy W. Dunkin, was 32. William died on September 9, 1911, in High Point, Guilford County, North Carolina, from gastritis at the age of 63. He was buried at Archdale, Guilford County, North Carolina.

George Davis Webster, 73, a retired Brigadier General in the Marine Corps who served in the Pacific in World War II and who had two tours of duty in Vietnam during the conflict there, died of cancer on December 16, 1992 at the Bethesda Naval Medical Center in Maryland.
"He was commander of the Quantico Marine Base when he retired in 1971 with 30 years of service. He was commissioned in the Marine Corps in 1941. His early service in World War II was in the Panama Canal Zone. In 1943,he went to the Pacific as a Weapons Company Commander in the 4th Marine Division, and he took part in operations at Roi-Namur, Saipan, Tinian and Iwo Jima. In the course of those campaigns he was awarded two Bronze Stars and the Purple Heart for wounds he received in action.
"After various postwar assignments in this country, General Webster attended the Defense Language School and then went to Rome as an Assistant Naval Attache. Later he was a Battalion and Regimental Commander at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, and then Commandr of the Landing Force Training Command at Coronado, California. In 1962 and 1963, he was in Vietnam as an Intelligence Officer on the staff of the U.S. Military Assistance Command. In 1968, after further duty in this country, he returned to Vietnam as Assistant Division Commander of the 1st Marine Division and commander of a formation called Task Force X-Ray. He was then assigned to Okinawa before going to Quantico for his final assignment.
"In addition to his World War II medals, he had three awards of the Legion of Merit.

Mrs. Webster, passed away peacefuly at her home in Alexandria, Virginia, surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her husband Brig. General, USMC, George D. Webster. She was the loving mother of George (Dave) Webster (Erika), and Amy Hawkins (Dave). She was adored by four grandchildren, Kristina MacKenzie, Davis Webster, and David and Will Hawkins.

Esther A. Webster, 81, of Wheaton, Illinois, died Aug. 25, 2002 in Traverse City, Mich.
Born in Ogdensburg, Wisc., Mrs. Webster was the daughter of Emil and Bertha (Rafoth) Woldt. June 5, 1943, she married Daniel M. Webster, Sr. in Elmhurst, IL, and shortly thereafter saw him off to Italy and WWII. After his return, Esther and Dan were blessed with three children and began an active community life within the Chicago suburb of Wheaton. Esther was preceded in death by her husband in 1987.
Mrs. Webster was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton, where she served as an elder as well as having been a past president of Presbyterian Women. A past president of the Wheaton Garden Club, her love of flowers was evident by the rose gardens she cultivated over the years. Her admiration of nature and its peace was realized via many, many summers spent with her family on Lake Michigan in Pentwater, Mich., and through an interest in birding she acquired as the years passed.

Robert Franklin Webster was born on May 15, 1923, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, his father, Daniel, was 36 and his mother, Elizabeth, was 30. He had two brothers and one sister. He died on June 6, 2002, in Oviedo, Seminole County, Florida, at the age of 79, and was buried in St. Lukes Lutheran Church Cemetery in Oviedo, Florida. His wife, Ruth M. Rodebach was born on May 4, 1922, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, her father, Alexander Rodebach, was 34, and her mother, Anna Van Ness, was 33. She had one brother and three sisters. She died on May 21, 2012, in Oviedo, Florida, at the age of 90, and was buried along side her husband in Oviedo, Florida.
